2013 - Jan
Been working on illustrating a story written by a friend. It should be around 60 isn pages once I'm done. It's keeping me occupied.
2012 - Dec
2012 has been interesting. I decided not to have an exhibition for my Door Series but instead, decided to sell the paintings online at a website called BlueThumb. In May, I also stopped my admin job in the finance industry because it wasn't making me happy. Been living off my savings for the past 6 months and pondering and restructuring my thought patterns in hope of a better tomorrow. I'm not sure what 2013 will bring but I'm sure looking forward to it.
2011 - Nov
I've finally finished my Door Series of acrylic paintings. Now for the arduous process of finding a space to exhibit them and hopefully something positive will come out of it. This will be my first exhibition, and it would be a small set of 15-16 paintings. I have no idea what to expect.
2011 - May
Feel free to send some spare change my way. Lord knows I'm not making a living out of this free art online :)
2011 - Apr
Well, WoW: Catacylsm was a let down. After four weeks of it's release, I lost interest in the game altogether. Seems to be a shame to flush 5-6 years (of gaming) down the drain, but it only solidified my resolve to paint more (well the intent is there, the follow through is a different story).
To date, I've been focusing on trying to finish off my Door Series on canvas. Much like my recent purchase of a push bike, it's an uphill climb. Nevertheless, it keeps me off the streets, out of bars and my bank account in the black.
2010 - Dec
A funny thing happened on the way to the end of 2010 - I went overseas! Well, while this was not my intent, as I hate travelling, I did get to visit the city of Barcelona. I have to say, Europe has a lot to offer in terms of old architecture and culture. No doubt the images from staying there for 2 weeks will remain in my memory and seep into my work in the future.
2010 - Jun
Well, I've been working in the real world - doing admin temp work. Looks like my block got the better of me, and I neglected my artistic side for a good six months. Having said this, I have folded quite a few kusudamas/sonobes at my new job. I've finally worked enough to comfortably go part-time and attempt to refocus on my art. Let's see how this goes.
2009 - Nov
Been updating my T-shirt design/illustrations on Redbubble.com. Lately it's been a fair bit of fishies (don't ask - it just happened). Check out the designs anyways!
